DeadRose

the dusty violin

of all the things I have wished to learn
perhaps it is the stringed instrument that I am most drawn to.

I am not quite sure why,
but its sound can surely pacify
the longing of the heart
and enact change to the to the very same end.

for if I had the time,
oh the time, oh the time, time,
for what I want to pick apart and learn
surely I would be happier. but such a liberty I have not
for I have the standard ballet to dance in: study, get into college, marry.
to such the extent of which I do not know or care what I want for myself anymore
all that I must do what always has to be done. draw out not your passions because if you do,
my sweet sweet sweet deadrose, you\'ll have no money and end up alone and dead. but truly! I care not of such things.
