The darkness creeps

The darkness creeps

The darkness crept by his side,

it kept watching his shallow breaths.

The darkness where souls hide,

it holds stories of many deaths.

The darkness breathes its own,

feeds its life with light,

creeping up when he’s alone,

targeting him before the night.

The darkness wears no mask,

no cloak with any kind of blade.

Its existence is a heavy task,

as the mans life begins to fade.

The darkness crept by his side,

watching his shallow breaths.

Surrounding him, the man died,

the darkness captured his death.
