The Earth\'s Corners (Duniya ke Kone)

What did man think when he reached the four corners of the world?
From the East came Alexander, from the west, Nimrod arrived.
What did they achieve upon reaching here?
Neither did they find God, nor the treasures of Paradise.

So go to Jerusalem, bang your head against its walls.
Go to India and drown in the Ganges.
Arrive in Mecca and circumambulate the Kabah.
Then sit infront of the cross and pray.

Similarly, the rabbi spent his life infront of those walls.
The monk never left the gaze of his idols.
The shiekh performed both hajj and umrah.
The priest reddened his back with blood.

Despite this, they did not find God.
Man thinks, did he do something wrong?
Then why is it that both the sheikh and monk are equally content?
Perhaps that God and Treasure had always lied within the heart.

Duniya ke kone

Insan kya soch kar duniya ke charon konon tak pahuncha?
Mashriq se Sikandar aur Nimrod Maghreb se pahuncha.
Idhar pahunach kar inhe phir kya mila?
Na tha Rabb, na jannat ka khazana.

Tu ja Jerusalem aur us ki deewaron par sar maar.
Hind ja kar Ganga nadi mein doob.
Makkah pahunach kar Kaabah ka tawaf kar.
phir Saleeb ke samne baith kar dua parh.

Isi tarah, rabbi ne zindagi deewaar par guzardi.
Pundit apne buton ki nigah se na nikla.
Sheikh ne hajj aur umrah bhi kiya.
Padri ne khoon se apni kamar surkh kar li.

Is sab ke bawajood, inko Rabb na mila.
Insan sochta hai, kya is ne kuch galat kar liya?
Phir kyun hai ye, ke Sheikh aur Pundit dono hain raazi?
Shayad wo Rabb aur khazana hamesha se dil ke ghar main tha.
