All I ever wanted in life
Was love that last
Even before I knew what love was
Love of life without contrast
And when love came to my virgin heart
Too young was I, most would say
But I followed my heart
Eagerly of come what may
She cast her spell on me
As no one else before her
All with the loveliest of smiles
Propelling me through love’s door
With everything going on in the world
All life’s outrageous distractions
At the end of the day
I’m comforted by my favorite attraction
As I think back of Sharon
So many memories come to mind
And they’re more than just memories
Each and every one sweeter than wine
All I wanted of life
Was love of no resistance
Which I found in Sharon’s smile
Love that goes the distance
