Freedom of Religion

In your religion

is your God

always good?

To the Hindus

To the Scientists

To the Christians

To the Greeks

To the Muslims

To the Satanists

To the Hebrews

To the Mormons

To the Rastas

To the Buddhist

To the Sikhs

To the Confucians

To the Folk

To the Taoists

To the Catholics

To the Israelites

To the Orthodox

To the Evangelicals

To the Witnesses

To the Unitarian

To the Unaffiliated

To the Protestant

To the Bahá’is

To the Spiritual

To the Non-believers

what I fear

is that people have not always been good

but people have written what’s read..

in America it is approved

to practice your religion for freedom

until it goes against the laws of the land

hypocrisy is no easy feat

you have to balance

multiple beliefs on one stand

if all religions hold a truth

then can I find the truth

without any religion at all?

ahh but with so many texts

in different languages

printed in different ways

there is no time to decipher

so I must look somewhere else

in you, in me, in nature… well that’s we

I simply cannot live in a world

that doesn’t practice the same peace

I want to have and practice myself

do I kill myself now?

hope that it’s forgiven?

no… instead I forgive… and live on

if your god

is good all the time

then that is what I want by my side

if your god

forgives even the opposite

then that is what I want in a deposit

if your god

loves and gives and unifies

then that is where I want strong ties

if your god

cherishes knowledge, wisdom and health

then that is where I find my wealth

if your god

is inclusive, fair and just

then by all means I too must

if your god

is dead, alive or evolved

then I too shall die, be alive and revolved
