Unseen, so imaginary
Rare is the one
Who helps where it’s needed
And moderates their tone.
Pride takes a beating
As I have to ask
Again and again
Multiplied by the task.
No amount of times
It seems to me
Do some family and friends
Understand, see.
I really can’t hear
My ear doesn’t work
A disability, handicap
Whatever it took.
Sneered at, demeaned
Since the age of two.
You know who you are,
What are you going to do?
