adnan it is

A dead dream

I remember the road to her door,

Where peace filled the markets before.

Where colors and joy filled the day,

Now echoes of peace fade away.

The city shines with a wedding\'s light,

Her face glows like the moon, so bright.

This is my fate; I’m not the reason,

The one who was rides high this wedding season.

That house once filled my eyes alone,

Her breath was mine, her warmth my own.

Her lips left traces on my cheek,

In my pain, she was my relief.

Now that ache hides in my voice,

Alive, though life feels void of choice.

No tears, no smiles, no one here,

No water, no rivers, no green anywhere.

No skies of beauty, no red dusk flame,

No heartbeat left for anyone to claim.

That heart still beats where it once belonged

A secret locked somewhere laughs along

A tear hides in my eye’s deep shade

The roads are open, but no path is laid.
