Winter and Spring

The flowers, they write to me,
Their colours, my memory,
Vibrant as a painter\'s dream
I feel them beckoning,
From this grey study
Of disciplined agony.
To let the winter go
To not wait for tomorrow,
They say spring can be here today
Need not be after snow or before May
Need to be in some garden far away
Spring can be here today they say.
