Waiting I watch & Sit and view

Waiting I watch

Waiting for the sky to moon,

the darkness will be here soon.

The sun starts its bedtime routine,

to the planets other side to be seen.

From the east this moon will rise,

as the sunlight softly quietly dies.

While over to the planets west,

the sun lays down for a needed rest.

Waiting as the night gets painted,

understanding the light has fainted.

My thoughts are on a darkened sky,

wanting to see the stars in my eye.

Light to dark a pattern so true,

reflecting upon life’s distorted view.

Watching every fading darkening sight,

watching the moon brighten my night.

Sit and view

Lost in a forests’ shadowed vale,

following an animal’s twisting trail.

Looking for a waterfalls sight,

reaching it before the night.

The roar of the flow it is loud,

you can feel the river is proud.

It makes such echoing notes,

drowning other sounds let out.

As I approach this beauty in the trees,

taking in all the colors my eye sees,.

Green, brown, and the waters blue,

this site known to a select few.

I notice a group of rocks for my butt,

towards them I confidently strut.

Laying my pack to my excited side,

watching the drops enjoy their ride.

Echoing the roar fills the dead air,

there are animals everywhere.

Enjoying the crashing waters tune,

waiting for the sky to moon.

I will sit here and view my view,

only the tent remaining to do.
