Oh Silvery Moon by Starry-Night,
Through ages past the Poets delight,
When looking down upon this Earth
What of your mind for Human Worth?
For the game of War is all we’ve played
Where young Men die and Widows made.
The fire of Battle that forever burns
And flares anew when Centuries turn.
But- place your Faith in Lovers Vows,
Beneath the shade of scented Boughs,
To share to each all Hearts desires
With joys of Love that each inspires.
For Love is Strong and Pure of Blood ,
A force of Right and Heavenly good.
Then judge us not with a doubtful eye
When times we bring a Woeful Sigh,
As there are People of Righteous Might,
Who by our Souls intend what’s right.
