Petrichor of Love

A Heart\'s Veil

When her beauty upon the sky doth rest

And her grace cloaks the morning light,

My mind is at peace with what I confessed

In her ears, while staring at the night.

Inside my heart where fervours reside,

lie the yearnings my eyes were denied.

O Heavens! Shed thy blessings through rain

as words to the fervour doubts to dispel

the fledgling doubts that might sustain

affecting ways our bodies would dwell,

for they don\'t know how love conquers all

neither whims nor force causes its fall.

Though her beauty may wane with time

my love will transcend this mortal veil;

for in darkness, her soul would shine

a star where burdened hopes prevail.

No blemish can tarnish what I see

for love is viewed only through purity.
