In the puddle I see

In the puddle I see

Stopping by the puddles side,

looking at the puddle so wide.

Watching the rains river arrive,

ensuring the puddle stays alive.

Expanding its forming site,

with the drops joining its fight.

The puddle, I stopped to admire,

this puddle wishes to aspire.

To become a lake or river true,

each puddle wants of this to do.

The thoughts as I watch it grow,

the naval battles in my minds show.

The whales and sharks roaming bye,

the seagulls overhead they fly.

The paddle boats and canoes for fun,

despite there being no shining sun.

Docks with boats tied up and secure,

the images described I see for sure.

My imagination is always active,

to puddles, my thoughts reactive.

Something I’ve done since a kid,

stopping by a puddles side I did.
