An action, strong and true,
But I’ve never felt its motion,
Not a single embrace from love.
Verbs are meant to show us,
The deeds that hearts perform,
Yet love, in my life’s story,
Is a noun, a quiet form.
In the silence of my longing,
Where actions should reside,
Love remains a distant word,
A feeling yet to bide.
