Haggis ghazal
There’s no such thing as unwelcome haggis
So let’s all raise a cheer for our chum, haggis!
With legs on one side shorter than the other
You’ll never stumble on a plumb haggis.
They circumnavigate the mountain
In one direction only – dumb haggis!
What can we make from all this extra offal?
Stuff it in ewe stomach - call it um, haggis?
Some of the best are born in poor surroundings
So never disrespect a slum haggis.
A wallflower at a ceilidh’s out of place,
There must be something up – a glum haggis!
With forty-three wee nippers in her litter
There’s no-one works as hard as Mum haggis!
The Frasers of this land like nothing more
Than whisky in their glass, and rum haggis!
