3 pm
Stopped raining.
Streets full of people talking, full of shopping bags.
Strollers of all ages and
health conditions….
Strollers of all ages, all nuances and races in company of siblings or alone.
Sitting at a Belfast café, a famous one in all the UK.
Sipping a hot cappuccino, and small chocolate.
Many people sitting in company talking in progress with no pause.
Others sitting alone.
An old man sitting on a corner writing on a small notebook, drinking tea.
A very famous café, watching a very tall blond woman getting in with a trolley,
wide smile, ’hello, glad to meet you’! I did not turn neither right nor left to see who!
Dipping a cappuccino, good taste, 2 young and kind men working at the counter and
making the different types of coffees, wearing deep purple lipstick, one of them,
eyeliner on his dark blue eyes.
Café sofas close to the window to watch strollers passing by, and hopefully thinking about
nothing.
A very famous café with people coming in, either to talk or being noticed no matter for what,
even to climb a small stair to go to the toilets.
Me, sipping my cappuccino without thinking about anything, just a passive observer.
Strangely enough, when it started raining cats and dogs, I rested my soul on a hot drink,
just when it started raining, people took out their smart phone devices out of their pockets,
all the screens wet, calling someone to just say ‘I am coming, I know it is late’ or do you
need something as Christmas present for’?. Name of a human being.
A Belfast café that started being full of people craving for a hot drink, or…being noticed talking
as usual, anxiously moving their arms and hands while explaining the unprobable.
Solo traders walking like crazy in the street, the destination? Unknown.
A Belfast café stop, not a long one, for my legs, and my mind and my throat.
No one single face that attracted me particularly, the usual situation in much minor scale of
talking to the wind or to someone to be heard, to say something that sounded as ‘urgent’.
Silence is painful, unbearable.
I wonder if the rainy wind ever replied!
Only one thing I have noticed, not many real cats and dogs during heavy rain.
