The Light and the Pain

I will love the light,
for it reveals the path before me,
each curve of the trail, each stone,
each whispering blade of grass.
The light is a teacher;
it shows the way,
but never walks it for me.

.

Yet I will endure the darkness,
for it unveils the stars,
a tapestry of hope in the void.
In its silence,
pain becomes a quiet song,
a low hum of the universe
that reminds me I am alive.

.

Pain is the fire that shapes the blade,
the sculptor’s chisel on a stubborn stone.
It carves my heart open,
making room for joy,
for wisdom,
for the softness of compassion
that grows in its wake.

.

I walk with pain, not as its captive
but as its companion.
I listen to its lessons,
even as it screams,
even as it whispers in the small hours
when the world feels too heavy to bear.

.

For the light and the dark
are lovers entwined;
one cannot exist without the other.
The brightest day finds its echo
in the deepest shadow.
And the stars—oh, the stars—
sing only in the dark.

.

I will love the light,
and I will endure the night.
I will feel the pain,
let it wash over me,
until it leaves me cleansed,
reborn in the quiet stillness of being.

.

For pain, like the stars,
is not forever.
And when the light returns,
it finds me stronger,
my heart larger,
my spirit unbroken.
