The Edge of Everything

I stand at the edge of everything,

Where the sky bends low to kiss the sea,

And the weight of us hangs in the air,

Fragile, yet heavy, tethering me.

I’ve fought the storms, the endless tide,

Borne the shards of words you threw,

Tried to mend what time unraveled,

Tried to make broken hearts feel new.

Each step I take cuts deeper still,

On jagged truths I dared to tread.

The love we shared, a two-edged sword,

Drawing blood with every thread.

I held the pieces of your pain,

Hoping to patch the gaps and seams,

But love that hurts becomes a chain,

Binding me far from my dreams.

You call from shadows, sweet and soft,

A siren’s song I’ve heard before.

But I’ve learned that saving what destroys

Leads only to another war.

So here I stand, at the edge of everything,

Where love and loss collide as one.

I let the wind carry my whispers away—

This is where I learn to run.
