Mummy Tomorrow Will Be Better.
The little girl is woken up by the sound of her mother\'s cry
Sadly, the little girl has no need to ask she knows why.
She creeps down the stairs and walks to the kitchen door
Where she sees her mother slumped on the wooden floor.
The mother beckons the girl into her arms, holds her tight
The little girl asks her mummy are you going to be alright.
She replies I will be OK darling, and they both start to cry
The little girl tries to wipe the tears from her Mummy\'s eyes.
She moves her Mummy’s hair; she sees bruises on her face
For Mummy and the little girl, the world is a horrible place.
Mummy kisses the little girl tenderly on the head and said
Darling, I promise i will be okay you need to go back to bed.
The little girl asked Mummy can I sleep in your bed tonight
She hugged her even tighter and said OK just for a little while.
They picked themselves up and made their way up the stairs
The little girl says to her Mummy you will be safe now I\'m here.
They snuggle up under the quilt and to hold each other close
What\'s the future holds for either of them no one really knows.
The little girl tells her Mummy I will love you forever and ever
Then closed her eyes and prayed, that for Mummy tomorrow
will be better.
