(Oh) My Dad Is Santa.
He lay in his bed snuggled, pretending to be asleep.
The little boy who could see but could not speak.
Head full of excitement and joy on Christmas Eve.
Trying to guess what was under the Christmas tree.
Then he heard footsteps heading towards his door.
Then a trip and bang, then something hit the floor.
The scared little boy rushed to turn on his bed light.
Where upon the boy was given an almighty fright.
Laid on the floor was his dad in a Santa costume.
All at once causing the boy some Santa confusion.
Father could quickly see sadness in the boy\'s eyes.
He realised he needed to explain the reasons why.
His mind going bananas like an out-of-control coil.
He went and sat on the bed and cuddled his little boy.
He said Santa called to say he was running very late.
Sadly, the reindeer are ill through something they ate.
He asked if adults might be able to lend helping hand.
So, all the gifts could be delivered across all the land.
You see I am helping Santa to deliver all his presents.
So, no children in the land misses out in his absence.
He picked up the boy and carried him down the stairs.
The boy could still see the mince pies by Santa\'s chair.
The father says to the boy you were top of Santa\'s list.
And he truly hopes this is the present you really wished.
The father put this huge present on the young boy’s lap.
Without Hesitation the boy quickly started to unwrap.
Happiness in the boy\'s eyes was quickly flooding back.
He realised it was a huge proper train set and extra track.
The boy knew he only told Santa what he really wished.
And there was no way anyone else would have guessed.
So, he believed his dad was lending Santa a helping hand.
To get Santas gifts delivered to everyone across the land.
Hours of fun together past with the brand-new train set.
A special time was had that the boy would never forget.
His faith fully restored in all off his Christmas illusions.
That Santa Claus there is no doubt, is a very real person.
At night when the little boy returned to his room and bed.
Happiness and joyfulness still buzzing around his head.
He said to Santa I truly hope the reindeer get better soon.
Thank you, Santa, I will see you next year in my room.
