The Odyssey of Life
As the young light breaks through the dark night’s wail,
Two souls begin life’s voyage, on the oceans of hope they set sail.
Compass of dreams will lead the way, two hearts still wild and free,
Through stillness of the deep and towering waves of uncertainty.
Their destiny with threats of adventure, together they’ll weave,
In search of happiness no stone of possibilities unturned they won’t leave.
With every year’s leap and minutes crawl, new paths unfold,
And through joy and strife they’ll mine for memories like gold.
As with the courage of Odysseus they’ll confront new and unknown,
Battling with the Sirens of unforeseen obstacles that they were thrown.
They won’t yield to rolling clouds of difficulty nor the fog of strange,
Because this voyage is in constant motion and the scenery is gonna change.
They’ll forgive one another, mend sails of trust that may have been torn,
For in times of distress true friendships are born.
Both bitter and sweet, tears they’ll share, unsurmisable amount,
And even though they’ll cry, days of laughter will be greater in count.
They’ll grow wiser and strong, with each life’s lesson they learn,
Through trial and error, right from wrong they will discern.
United as one, in sweet passion’s embrace,
Fruit of their bodies is born, now a new adventure they’ll face.
So once more they set a new course, sails open wide,
They’ll embrace a new journey with plus one by their side.
Now in warm breeze, sitting by the shore, both well advanced in age,
Reminiscing on their life’s Odyssey in the book of memories page by page.
