My Heart Still Beats the Same
I hear them say I am just playing a game.
I have weirdness running through my veins.
I just look as they all make jokes and stare.
Sometimes I find it becomes hard to bare.
Yet my heart still beats the same.
All they know about me is my real name.
I know things are unlikely to ever change.
I will be the target of the classroom jokes.
My temper they will try to always provoke.
Yet my heart still beats the same.
I stand in the corner while they play games.
Occasionally pointing at me, am i deranged.
I am very used to the feeling of being alone.
It\'s the same in nearly all children\'s homes.
Yet my heart still beats the same.
They\'re just children like me playing a game.
They think it\'s funny to call me nasty names.
I don’t know why they can\'t just be friendly.
One day they might eventually speak to me.
Then they will realise.
My heart still beats the same.
