Eighteen again

Porcelain face, clear eyes set in blue,

The Hair no barber could tame,

In Love with a girl in the ‘Gamine’ kind of style,

Oh I wish I was eighteen once again.

Trips in the Sun over land and blue sea,

Sangria and a torrent of Spanish Rain,

The ‘Queen’s Jubilee’, ‘ Rock Follies of 77’,

Oh I wish I was eighteen once again.

The dance floor shakes to a Hundred young feet,

Now music never seems quite the same,

A hangover or two was the price we all pay,

Oh I wish I was eighteen once again.

The road lay ahead like a bright Summer’s eve,

No trace of a Cloud was in train,

My Mother and Father have said their Goodbyes,

Oh Lord -  I wish I was eighteen once again.
