The Man\'s Chain

When the dying princess, with her hopes so deep, finds still water on a hill so steep, a loving man with a beard of memory tries to help her find the remedy.

With the remedy for tragedy and a remedy for loss, the princess’s knuckles are still white from carrying her cross.

Shattered dreams and shattered trust, the man who once helped is left in the dust.

Why does this happen? Why is this now? The old man made a vow: “If I ever see a dying princess again, I will leave her alone, leave her right there and right then.”

The man seemed heartless, but oh, he knew there wasn’t any point if he couldn’t come through.

How much it hurt, how much it pained, he made the right choice; he was no longer chained.
