To say this is a bit of challenge for Riordan would be putting it lightly. But where business is concerned, you can’t just make changes blindly. Certain decisions take time and there’s much planning involved. It would be easier if he could have Riosin’s input; if he could ask her for her help. This is his area of expertise it’s true; but this is her company. Undermining her would be the wrong thing to do. If only he knew more about when Linens and Things first began. Maybe that’s part of the problem. The name alone should be changed; there’s the start of a plan. He was able to make the adjustments and cuts on unnecessary expenses.
