Riordan’s second day on the job and Riosin has had more than enough of his bossy tone. She calls him on her office as he gets off the phone. “Riordan; I have tried to reason with you and I’ve tried being polite.” “Since yesterday you’ve been completely arrogant and out of line.” “You’ve talked down to me and ridiculed how I run this place.” “Once and for all say what you need to say.” Riordan is taken aback by Riosin’s affirmative composure. “Where is this woman while running this place?” He silently wonders. “With all do respect Riosin as I stated yesterday, you hired me to do a job. With that includes saving your company.” “Now I’ve laid out a plan that I believe will work.” “I’d like you to go over it with me. I’d like your input.” As he lays out the plan the first thing Riosin sees; is how he has the nerve to change the name of her company. “Riosin’s Linens.” It’s got a nice ring to it. But he’s no right to change it without her consent. However, nothing’s set in stone just yet. “Hiring more help? Cutting out certain spending? How will it survive?” She asks Riordan; “Nothing is guaranteed Riosin as you can see; but this is a start at trying to salvage your company.” You need one other person here besides yourself and I. Honestly I just don’t understand how you’re getting by.” “I’m not a sugar coated kind of business man.” “There you have it. That’s my plan.” Riordan has noticed a certain look to her eyes.
