I witnessed the world ending
Slowly at first, but
So violent and heartrending
Space fabric was cut
First went the once peaceful fields
Of the softened Earth
Cracks opening wide, jagged teeth
Hissing, \"no self worth\"
Winds ripped trees from their firm roots
Water climbed to skies
Salty, like the tears I cried
Hopes stamped down by boots
Scorching suns burned the surface
Volcanic ash fell
There was no hope or love left
Nothing but darkness
After being bottled up
For years way to long
The most lethal thing, of course
Was the core all along
It lashed out, emotional fury
As it ripped apart
Its own pained failing heart
The last dying beats
A dirge for the destruction
Of my ripped world set aflame
And when I opened my eyes
From my restless rest
And stepped outside
I saw the other outside world,
And it was perfectly fine
Everything was still normal
But not my heart and I
