Riches

You gave me all the riches

Any man could ever dream of

And renewed them, again and again,

Still I ignored them

Took them for granted

Until I felt the pain;

Felt the cold wind blowing

The rain start to fall

And suffered over and over again,

The days all stacked up

Like cards in a pack

A never-ending strain;

But no matter how long

The black night endures

I will see it through,

The memory of the sunshine

The good times before it set

And the love I found wth you.
