A Likely Story

In times of Adolescent distant past,

When musings formed all futures path,

I’d think of the girls I’d like to know,

And on the Town I’d stroll and show.

My friends would see me by and by,

With the New ‘Miss World’ with whom I’d lie,

A ‘Glamour-Model’ or maybe two,

Daily to be seen out there on view.

The latest Actress to storm the stage,

And of my Love she would engage,

The Blue eyed girl at the top of the charts,

The breaker they’d say of a Million Hearts.

But all these dreams never came to pass,

Instead I married a local lass,

So down to Earth she’ll always be,

And so much more than a Fantasy.

The Moral of the tale, if one must be said,

Is not to live within your head,

Don’t cast your Net to far it seems,

In waking life we’ll find our dreams.
