Fury

The fury has passed

The storm abated

Horizons, so vast

That my mind created

But now - upon a bed in which I never lay,

Rests this life of yesterday;

No longer mine

This world of change

Once, a tempting wine

Now, a taste so strange

All gone - it has flown by so fast

The bright future has become the past;

The riotous spring

The sublime days

Now only bring

My envious gaze

Just think - all my follies and flaws

Gone from my hands, but delivered to yours.
