Since this thirst
could not
be quenched,
by all the sweat
you have
ever yet shed
and regardless,
of whether
upon your long
toiling,
lovemaking or
on so very many
battlefields ..
I hasten to warn
thee it is
still far too sweet
for this
hunger of mine
and I do
occasionally fear,
that it can
no longer be sated ..
