O Man, the Crown of Creation,
your lips gleam like Badakhshan’s ruby,
A treasure mined from the depths of eternity.
Your eyes, twin pools of divine revelation,
Hold the enchantment of a gazelle’s gaze,
Reflecting the heavens in their silent wonder.
God adorned you with the scepter of beauty’s realm,
A sovereign crowned in the garden of existence.
Before the first star was lit, He named you Adam,
Breathing into you the breath of His own essence.
You are the first word of His eternal poem,
The living verse of His boundless love.
The grace of your form is the upright Alif,
A sacred letter in the scripture of creation.
You are the cypress of eternity,
Tallest in the forest of being,
Rooted in the soil of the unseen,
Yet reaching for the infinite sky.
Why veil yourself, O radiant Layla?
I know you—Majnun concealed within me.
Shall I call this a wilderness of separation?
No—Layla and Majnun are but one,
Two notes in the same eternal song,
Two waves in the same boundless ocean.
O mirror of truth, draped in human attire,
You are the prism through which the divine light shines.
With your own eyes, I see beauty in all,
For every face is a reflection of Your face,
Every soul a spark of Your eternal flame.
Day and night, I burn in love’s fire, O beloved,
A single spark from You—now a torch within me.
I am the moth, and You are the flame,
Drawn to the light that consumes and completes.
In Your presence, I am both ash and ecstasy,
A fleeting shadow kissed by eternal light.
No blemish mars the radiance of man’s face,
For it bears Your reflection—sacred as divine scripture.
You are the calligrapher, and we are Your script,
Each stroke a testament to Your artistry,
Each soul a letter in the book of Your love.
A lamp of devotion, he glows in Your light,
Like the sun, ablaze in its own brilliance.
You are the source, and we are the rays,
Scattered yet united, diverse yet one.
In Your light, we find our purpose,
In Your love, we find our home.
O man, you are the crown of creation,
The bridge between earth and heaven.
In you, the divine and the mortal meet,
A symphony of dust and eternity.
Rise, then, and know your worth,
For you are the beloved of the Beloved,
The secret whispered in the heart of the universe.
