It doesn\'t matter anymore

Sun that raises at dawn sets with twilight
Rain that washes my face soon dries in the breeze of time
Looking close, what once was thought gold now mirages of pyrite
Passionate love\'s slippery sweat wiped on a rag of rhyme

Age\'s shadow sweeps softly over youth\'s brow
Past evaporates as cleansing water on one\'s eyes
Eternity collapses in a broken mirror of here and now
Where lies mutilated truth, in a pile of lies

Years through a torn sieve pour
Day melts to night, night condenses into day
A frown, just a wilted smile I once wore
Black of night, light of day all turn to gray

Was, is and will be, heaven knows no more
Difference between wrong and right, even God does ignore
