I open the blinds to a
room doused in yesterday\'s shadows.
The coffee, bitter, as unfinished
as the thoughts I carried here.
Outside, a dog barks twice, quick,
something urgent in its lungs.
I’ve heard that movement, a simple
act, can tilt the day on its axis.
So I lace my sneakers tight,
step into the wind\'s sly grin.
Each footfall a small rebellion,
the sky pressing blue above me.
The trees nod approval, swaying
like old friends sharing a joke.
With every block, my mind unclenches,
and the guilt, for once, stays home.
