You found me at the sea shore,
A small pebble—you picked up.
A smile of delight suffused your face;
I was transfixed by your beauty and grace.
Your intense eyes watched the Sun, Falling down and disappearing
Behind the unknown land of horizon.
The scarlet sky seemed to keep you enthralled;
You forgot I existed in the eternal game of dusk and dawn.
A thoughtful stare at the pebble,
In the engulfing darkness of dusk.
You flicked me back to the sea,
Where I came from.
No regrets touched my heart;
I was doused in a strange elation.
Having been touched by you—
Everything is fleeting in life, after all.
The sea will throw me back to the shore.
Morning will bring someone else,
She may find me, as did you.
Again, I may find a place in someone\'s heart.
I will go on living in hope—it would be a start.
