Inseparable Soulmates

You had travelled down your life’s path

Both together, more than half a century

In a quiet and salubrious town of Dharwad

Watching how six decades slowly unfolded

With love trust, harmony, and bliss unbounded.

Parents to four and grandparents to six

Generations expanded from one to four

Great-grandchild joined and glee grew more

Your contentment, accomplishment  bloomed

The dignified, disciplined life you both led

The traits , we the kin, proudly inherited.

You lived life of many couple’s dream

Love care and compassion endless stream

Waiting for your sixty first wedding anniversary

About to celebrate the great day of joy and glory

What destiny had in store for us,  a dire mystery

We were aghast that you both melted out of blue.

In less than a month’s gap  you both bid adieu

What was the hurry oh! dear mom and dad

To disappear suddenly  as  predestined

Living together, dying in a row  and leaving for

Heavenly abode together,  how destiny has  shaped

The agony of twin loss, which haunts for us forever.

Your’s was a true love beyond mortality

Not bounded by mere physical worlds

Your departure was in league, that mattered

In the far away unknown world of love birds

In life and death, you showed the oneness

Proved that  you are Inseparable soulmates.
