When Faith fades

Faith is as old as man,
Her magic spells written in history.
She\'s the soulmate of man,
Captivates his heart and soul from the beginning.

She makes his heart merry and fine,
Watches him grow strong and big in time.
Faith is naturally endowed,
With a beautiful face and soul allowed.

With her soothing voice, he\'s thrilled and delighted,
With her magic, he can soar, his spirit excited.
He gathers his army, leads to victory\'s gate,
Made her queen, his lover, and soulmate so great.

By her lead, he shall triumph and prevail,
Lead his people to victory and growth, without fail.
With her spells, he\'s feared and known so well,
Powerful, and no one can conquer, his story to tell.

But soon, Faith is not the same as yesterday,
Her beautiful face, once blue like the sky, now fades away.
She won\'t allow him old and weak like her to stay,
So she makes him stronger, younger, and fresh each day.

But man\'s lust came in the way, and he forgot,
All that she had done for him, her love and thought.
Her beauty has faded, and her voice is not the same,
So he dethrones her, and sends her away, with no one to claim.

He takes another and another to his throne,
Does his wishes, neglects the rules she had known.
Then Fear comes in disguise, with words so sweet,
Seduces him, and he falls, his heart to beat.

He crowns Fear as his queen, makes her rule his land,
Then the time comes for a battle, and he takes a stand.
But he loses greatly, and his heart does ache,
A king once feared, now becomes a coward, for his own sake.
