Weeping

A tree grieves dewdrops fall from leaves, fallen rainbows
Bent boughs in mourning bows as morning grows
A heart of pith swells, from silent flowing wells drops of pain
Remorse pours out of pores as angry rain

Grey sky closes its eye at misty break of day
Cloud covers hide past lovers now so far away
Sunlight lost is the cost a rooted tree must pay
When steps from shade can not be made the price is decay
