I heard some News on the Box today,
Two Ships in the Channel had a bit of affray,
Red Paint was the Cargo on a Vessel heading West,
\'Its full speed ahead\' at the Captain\'s request.
Also with Paint, Purple it seems,
This one heading East, Tins stored to the beams,
Both were now sailing all thoughts set in View,
Of Consignments delivered and Contracts renewed.
And then a collision, Bow upon Port,
With the sides splitting wide,
Being the general report.
Chaos and Mayhem as the Cargo breaks-out,
Gallons of Emulsion now sloshing about.
And all the Ships-Hands them jumped over-board,
As through every deck, the Briny now poured.
A River of Paint was flowing and free,
A Jackson Pollock Catastrophe.
The Channel it seems was bleeding bad,
As if some injury was surely had.
Then both Ships sank beneath the Sea,
To Davy Jones their destiny.
A Witness has said the Men are now formed,
A pure Mix of Purple ; with Red adorned.
Happily no life, was lost its assumed:
But all the Survivors have now- been MAROONED.
