The old church was filled on Sunday morning,
Some were awake and some still yawning,
People of all ages had come to hear,
Why that morning the Sun did not appear.
Without warning or sign of any kind,
The Sun just did not rise and all were blind,
Some said God had lost faith in the living,
Others thought that the Devil was winning.
Father James rose to the pulpit to speak,
His voice was direct but a little weak,
Some lit bright candles so the blind could see,
Others held their breath and prayed constantly,
“Brethen and faithful, you must be aware,
The bright Sun just vanished into thin air.
Leaving us no comfort and just darkness,
I am with all of you in this distress.
We all need to pray as much as we can,
Prayer for every child woman or man.”
Suddenly through the windows the light came,
The Sun appeared like a glorious flame.
There is proof good brothers and sisters all,
God heard our prays and he answered the call.
We all will never doubt God’s Love again,
Comfort is all we pray for in the rain.
