Muse of Calliope

The SINGULARITY

I feel replaceable; erasable

Everything that I can do, AI can do better.

Soulless painters, artificial minds

Soon to be bodies; what\'s next for mankind?

If they look like us, talk like us, think like us,

Then who are we? What\'s left of our humanity?

How do I cope, when I can\'t be the best;

When it\'s just me and me against the machine?

Well, nothing can replace a human being;

If you\'ve ever loved somebody, you know what I mean

And technology\'s just a tool;

It\'s how we use it that can be cool or cruel-

When they put machines in factories,

It gave folks quite a scare,

But we still have our salaries,

Now iphones are everywhere

They got rid of horse-drawn carriages,

But then we all got cars;

They learned how to fight viruses

And someday we\'ll conquer Mars-

So I\'m hoping we\'ll adapt;

We\'ve done it in the past.
