Footsteps of the Forgotten

Shadows stretch where weary feet once tread,
Silent echoes linger, voices left unsaid.
The wind hums sorrow in a hollow refrain,
Names long lost, yet carved in the terrain.
Their burdens linger in dust and stone,
Whispers woven in paths unknown—
Ghosts of the road, walking alone.

Beneath the weight of time’s embrace,
Fractured footprints fade without a trace.
Still, the ground remembers, sighs in dust,
Carrying echoes of endurance and trust.
For every traveler forged in strife,
The road becomes a keeper of life—
Bearing the weight of footsteps twice.
