The Gift Of Now

I was granted a span—
a breath within eternity—
a sacred trust from God,
to walk as vessel and flame,
bearing the whisper of His will.

The time I was given is this—
not a moment, fleeting,
but a river without source,
a breath without end—
the infinite unfolding,
beyond all measure.

Before and beyond this now,
where time dissolves into light,
from that distant shore I was called
to shape His longing upon the earth—
His steward, before whom the heavens
kneel in silent awe.
And to that shore, I shall return.

In these borrowed days of dust and dream,
I have come to know:
the self is but a shadow;
only service endures,
only love without condition.

To walk in compassion,
to rest in devotion—
this is the only truth.
