What is love?

What is love? I ask the sky

What is love? The question that\'s been asked a thousand times

Is it a bouquet of lovely flowers? A grand gesture that makes your heart soar? Is it someone remembering which snacks you like? Talking all day, falling asleep with your phone over your heartbeat? Listening intently to the words of another? Holding someone so very close? Holding open doors? Pushing someone? Protecting someone? Considering their feelings above your own?

And where does love end and obsession begin?

What do you do when love feels like more than you can handle? And the gestures become far too much?

Does running mean you loved less?

Does it have to be healthy to be love? To be worth it?

When do you let go? How do you weigh the hurt against compassion?

Where does that hurt meet compassion?

How do you forgive truly? And if you truly forgive, does God ask you to forget?

Jesus loved so much He gave His very life

We are made in His image, meant to follow His example, to love even when it destroys us

God makes all things new, but sometimes it feels as though it\'s at the cost of you

Can you live with the righteousness God expects and still have boundaries?

It’s known that The Father loves a broken heart, one He can change, one He can use, one He can build up in His image, the way He desires. He breaks it to change you, then He breaks it again to change you more. Sometimes He breaks your heart to change someone else.

Does seeking holiness, following God, being Christ-like, hungering for righteousness, and truly loving mean remaining in brokenness?

What’s it like to be made new by The Father?

How do you love like He does?
