Tree roots take from the ground where dropped leaves are found
With a crunching sound in footsteps they are ground
Returned, by soil reclaimed, new food from light tamed
Fruit picked from the tree, now in seeds new life will be
Poems take from the mind deep thoughts that are mined
Sprouting forth in flowering verse colored feelings so diverse
Dropping petals and seeds a brighter spot among life\'s weeds
Fireworks of worded fragrance on a barren ground now discarded vagrants
Heaven\'s light fallen on beggars downed, becomes new beauty found
In these leaves of rejected words flow the songs of the birds
