Sheldon

Sheldon the Assistance Dog

With harness on and purpose clear,

Sheldon walks and stays so near.

Beside a chair with wheels that glide,

He moves with grace, a steady guide.

He opens doors and lifts with care,

He knows the routes, he\'s always there.

A gentle push, a careful pause,

He understands without applause.

He picks up things that slip or fall,

He answers every silent call.

A faithful friend, so calm and true,

Helping life feel bright and new.

Through busy streets and quiet parks,

He listens well and leaves his marks—

Of loyalty and quiet might,

A golden glow in darkest night.

When crowds grow loud or slopes feel steep,

Sheldon’s watch is strong and deep.

He senses need, he steadies fear,

A wagging tail that brings good cheer.

At home he’s soft, a warm, curled ball,

But still on guard for every call.

His job is love, his gift is grace,

A daily hero, paw in place.

So here’s to Sheldon, by the chair—

With every stride, he’s always there.

A partner true, through thick and thin,

With fur, and heart, and strength within.
