Succulent

The cactus protects its treasure with spikes
Its heart guarded with thorns
Lacking trust it extends threatening pikes
Yet with alluring blossoms its body adorns

A naked siren, illusion accursed
Where succulent scars mark desires, that do remain
One that tastes its flesh briefly quench their thirst
But its meat will not sustain

Those drawn to its beauty taste its pain
A fleeting bloom drops denuded prickles on bloodied ground
Each dark stain washed away in sin\'s rain
Roots drink lover\'s crimson passion drown

Succubus draw my blood, leaving me with memory\'s tattoos
Fondling your flower, you touch sharp needle\'s of taboos
