Spencer Wilhelm

a long day

Eyes closing closer.

Cool conditioning flowing through my hair,

Sharp against the sweat in my pits.

Eye lids lower.

Calm, constant, hypnotic tinnitus takes control

over all thoughts; clearing, washing, drowning

them all away.

Lashes feebly flicker.

And from the voided mind, vaults vividly

secrets, laid bare in the honest unharnessed thoughts.

Life revives itself, and

At last, perfectly, sleeps.
