Well it is here,
The longest day is here,
What shall I do with it?
Dawns early light came,
The birds called to me.
Out I went to join them,
The beautiful morning
Bringing joy to me.
As I walked along the path
The green trees shading me,
Shading me from the sun.
The sun that gets higher,
Higher and brighter.
The temperature rises,
The shade protecting me.
I arrive by the lake,
I sit and look out,
Look out over the water,
The clear green water.
The swans glide on it
I just sit and look,
Look at the peace before me,
Bringing peace to my mind.
The light lasts so long,
So long on this day,
A day to be savoured,
As I enjoy my life,
My life of peace and love,
On this day,
This longest day.
