Riverbank

The river bank crumbles beneath my knees

Sediment slides into the current and I sink slowly closer to the wash.

And I should just lean forward

My heart wills it

My gut senses it

Land in the water chest first, and see where it takes me.

Some will call it brave

Others call it stupid

Maybe it\'s both and neither.

Certainly, to not drown just a little bit in life is at least one.

But who can truly tell.

You might have something worth drowning for.

And the decision is made for you already,

You simply have to fall into the waters

And see where it takes you
