Look at those immigrants:
They run from their own people and their own land.
Yes, if not, then we\'ll get burned
By our own people on our own motherland,
Because people here can\'t see each other,
Take a stand, or bend to give others a helping hand.
Everyone at home is jealous of each other\'s end,
So what should we do but run for our own safety?
Because politicians keep us divided,
Leaving us to rend, leaving our own identity behind,
Takes a lot, forcing us to fend.
Tell us, what should we do?
Tell us.
We weren\'t fortunate enough to be born
In a first-world glory, but still, our culture within
Can\'t be changed, like a never-ending story.
We worry for our kids\' future in our home country,
Hurry to settle in a new place, away from home traditions
And home pantry.
Countries arise and fall, but the pain for our own people
Always lies in our eyes, like a cemetery.
Even if we settle among them, they still raise an eyebrow,
Looking at our physical geometry.
All the cries for the well-being of our people
Make them question our loyalty and our entry.
Some people migrate for a better life;
Some do to escape their past life.
Life isn\'t that simple for an immigrant;
They always think we\'re here to rob them,
Replace them, or to kill them with a knife.
Always gets questioned: \"Why are you here?\"
\"Wait for your deportation flight.\"
How can we fight with the native people
Of the nation we ask asylum for?
How can we go back to the same mess,
With no safety and no power we asked for?
Lastly, I am sorry for being here in your nation,
Bringing the mess here that wasn\'t your creation.
I am sorry that I don\'t deserve a better life
Among your people, but I understand
That your ancestors faced the same thing
We face today, so you don\'t have to figure out
How we feel today, because they already made a ripple.
Countries don\'t get developed in one day,
Nor can they be run only in one way.
It takes generations of hard work, pain, and blood
To make our lives better.
But you can start the change for your people
And be the trendsetter.
Till the time you are in a different nation than yours,
Don\'t be worried all the time about the home chaos that pours.
Gain knowledge, gain money,
Upgrade your lifestyle, honey.
Change your life, and go back to your land again,
To spread the change you once wanted to gain.
And one day, they will say:
\"Look at those immigrants;
They changed everything in their own country and their own land,
After being here, and probably felt like they\'d been banned.\"
Even after obtaining the visa and citizenship I once dreamed of ,
I decided to return to my home country ,armed with the weapon of \"Change\" I have always dreamed of.
